Eight of Swedish Poet Karin Boye’s beloved poems gets new music composed and sung by Emma Augustsson, arranged by Anton Svanberg and surrounded by instrumental improvisations. Boye’s (1900-1941) works and life continues to inspire and fascinate more then 75 years after her death and the themes of love, desire and mans relation to nature that she often return to in poetry and prose are of course as relevant today as ever.
In this process of setting her poems to music the text are in main focus and the music switches between

Emma Augustsson – vocals and keyboards
is a singer, cellist and composer from Hedared, Västergötland who has studied music at the conservatoires in Gothenburg and Stockholm. Her works covers classical, jazz, folk and world music including her own group Emma & Gänget and many interdisciplinary collaborations including contemporary dance, theatre and visual arts.

Anton Svanberg – guitar, electronics and horns
is a composer and multi-instrumentalist from Fjärås on the swedish west coast. Classically educated tubaist and composer at the conservatoire of Stockholm he works with experimental music in all genres. Anton leads music theatre company Oss Från Djuren and is chairman of the Swedish Organisation for Free Improvised Music; FRIM.

This tour of spring 2016 includes around a dozen of concerts in Sweden, Finland and Denmark and has financial support from the Swedish Arts Council.
