About Darkness tells about children who are ignored and left alone. They feel a sorrow they cannot name. They wake up in a panic and wonder: is there anybody who would understand me? Is there anybody who would protect me?
Sari Tervaniemi lives and works in Helsinki. She graduated in the year 1999 at the Slade School Fine Art, London (MA). Her works have been shown internationally for example at galleries in New York, Mexico City and Barcelona. In the year 2010 she had her last solo exhibition in Helsinki at the Photographic museum of Finland / Project room. Next she will show her works at Theredoom in Madrid.
