Gallery Week Finland 26-31 August 2025
Come and enjoy free art exhibitions and other events at your local galleries at the end of August!
Spread across the country, the first edition of Gallery Week Finland (Galleriaviikko), will take place from 26 to 31 August 2025 and then annually at the end of summer.
Galleries constantly display diverse, high-quality art and are almost always free to visit. Gallery Week Finland aims to raise awareness of galleries operating around the country and to encourage new visitors to explore them.
On Sat 30 Aug Galleria Huuto is one of the galleries in Gallery walk: Kallio and Kalasatama
The gallery walk starts at Lou (Vaasankatu 15) at 1.30pm and will be led by the visual artist Katariina Salmijärvi.

Gallery Week Finland also aims to strengthen cooperation between art galleries. Throughout the rest of the year, these organisations are brought together for training sessions and workshops.
Gallery Week Finland is organised by the Artists’ Association MUU, the Association of Finnish Sculptors, the Association of Finnish Printmakers, the Finnish Painters’ Union and the Association of Photographic Artists. They share the goal of strengthening the status and impact of visual artists working in Finland, as well as supporting the visual arts scene as a whole.
