Paintings, portions of meaning

My exhibition contains observations of humans, oneself and the environment. The shapes created on the canvas have been fed by empathy, curiosity, mental images and the giving of meaning as well as prejudices and misconceptions. The works have been inspired by bodily experiences, music, movies, popular culture, visual arts and daily life.

I want to be able to say something universal and create works that serve as peer support for a viewer’s experience of the world. I am interested in the overlapping of thoughts and meanings and different ways of depicting things. I don’t copy things, I make observations and thoughts visible. For me, a painting is abstract even if it contains representational elements.
